How to Remove the Back Seats in a 1989 Mazda 929

The Mazda 929 is a mid-size car manufactured by Mazda starting in 1973. Sometimes you may wish to remove the back seats so that you can carry large objects inside the vehicle. Or maybe you need to clean or replace the carpet or seat upholstery. You dont need any special tools to remove the back seats from your 89 Mazda 929. You can do it from home in about a half hours time.

Instructions

Move the front seats as far forward as possible to give yourself room to work.

Pull forward on the upper left corner of the rear seat back. This will release it from the frame.

Pull forward on the upper right corner of the rear seat back to release the other side from the frame.

Pull the seat back up and out of the vehicle.

Pull up on the front left corner of the seat cushion to release it. Slide your hand under the cushion to the right and keep pulling up on the cushion until you release the cushion from each tab on the frame.

Remove the seat cushion from the vehicle.
