Mercedes Benz C230 Wont Start

The Mercedes C230 is a four-door sedan that requires gasoline and a good battery to start properly. The most common issue with a car not starting is either with the battery being dead or on a low charge, or the car doesnt have enough fuel to start. You dont have to be a certified Mercedes mechanic to get your C230 running again. You can troubleshoot the issues by checking the battery and the fuel levels yourself.

Instructions

    1

Add 1 gallon of gas to your C230 and then turn the key in the ignition on and off a couple of times while you are pumping the C230s gas pedal. This will engage the cars fuel pump.

    2

Turn the ignition and listen for a clicking noise. Have a mechanic check the starter if you hear a clicking noise

    3

Turn the ignition over without starting the car. Check the electrical lights in your cars dashboard. If the lights do not come on or the lights are really dim, the battery needs to be charged or replaced.

    4

Jump start the C230 with another car and a pair of jumper cables. Allow the car to run for about 5 minutes and then turn it off. Try to restart the car. If the car will not turn back on, you need to replace the battery.
