My 2002 Harley Davidson Ultra Classic Wont Start
Before you can start your 2002 Harley-Davidson Ultra Classic you must have gasoline in your gas tank, the petcock must open, the ignition switch must be turned on and the engine run switch must be turned on. Your enrichener or choke should be fully open and your hand should be off the throttle. If the solenoid chatters when your try to start the bike, your battery is dead or your battery cables are corroded. Most other reasons why the motorcycle will not start can be evaluated or remedied by taking the following steps.

Examine the spark plug wires and the connections between the plug wires, the spark plugs and the coil. If the plug wires are cracked, frayed or visibly corroded they must be replaced. If any connection is loose push it back together with your fingers.
2Remove the front and back spark plugs with a socket wrench and a spark plug socket. Remove each spark plug by turning it counterclockwise and look for visible signs of fouling. The electrodes should be light tan or gray and intact. Replace if fouled.
3Remove the plug wire leads from the coil electrodes. Look for corrosion on the coil electrodes. Remove any corrosion with a wire brush.
4Remove the seat bolt from the back of your seat. Pull the seat back off to access the battery. Your battery is dead if the solenoid chatters when you try to start the bike. If the battery is dead, then connect the positive and negative leads from a motorcycle battery charger to the same terminals on your battery.
5Charge the battery for four hours. Attempt to restart the Ultra Classic.
6Examine the battery terminals and cables for signs of corrosion. Remove any corrosion with a wire brush. Replace the battery if it will not charge or if a terminal is broken.
7Troubleshoot your carburetor. Remove the air cleaner cover by unscrewing the Allen bolt or bolts securing it to the air cleaner.
8Loosen the air cleaner by removing the three or four Torx bolts that secure the air cleaner to the backing plate. Hold the air cleaner in your less dominant hand while you disconnect the breather tubes from the top of the air cleaner with a box wrench.
9Remove the air cleaner backing plate. Examine both throttle cables. Ensure they are both attached to the throttle cam.
10Access the fuel air adjustment screw on the bottom of the carburetor. Gently turn the adjustment screw clockwise with a small, flat-head screwdriver until it is fully closed. Turn the adjustment screw counterclockwise 2-1/8 turns. Attempt to start the motorcycle again.
Step by Step Instructions on How to Change Fuel Injectors
Fuel injectors provide fuel to the engine. The injectors are comprised of a nozzle and a valve that help regulate the amount of fuel entering the combustion chamber. Fuel injectors are essential for peak engine performance, and can cut down on excessive fuel consumption and emissions. Changing the fuel injectors can take care of issues such as lean misfire, slow throttle response, and high hydrocarbon and carbon monoxide emissions.

Relieve the pressure in the fuel system (fuel lines and fuel filter) by first locating the fuel pump fuse in the fuse box. If your vehicle does not have a fuel pump fuse, locate the relay that runs the fuel pump.
2Start the car and pull the fuse or relay out while the engine is running. This will kill the engine quickly.
3Dissipate the electric circuit by first disconnecting the negative cable from the battery terminal. Loosen the retaining bolt on the cable clamp with a wrench turned counterclockwise. Wait 10 to 20 minutes before proceeding.
4Remove the entire air cleaner assembly, including the air box and intake tubing, by unscrewing the bolts and the hose clamp located at the throttle body assembly with a wrench or ratchet and socket. Once the screws and bolts are removed, pull out the entire air cleaner assembly and set it aside.
5Locate and remove the bolts holding the injector retaining rail in place, if your vehicle is so equipped, to gain access to the injectors. To do this, disconnect the main fuel line located at the end of the rail with an open-end wrench. If there is an extra fuel line at the other end, remove it with the open-end wrench.
6Remove the bolts on the fuel rail with a ratchet extension and socket. The fuel rail should come off with a little pressure once the bolts have been removed.
7Unplug the fuel injector connectors by prying the spring clip loose with a flat head screwdriver. Once the spring clip is loose, pull the connector off the injectors.
8Put on safety goggles then use a fuel injector puller to remove the fuel injectors. Slide the injector puller below the lip in the injector seat and pop the injectors out.
9Check to see if any pieces of the old seal are stuck in the seat. Use the flat head screwdriver to remove the debris.
10Remove the plastic caps attached to the new fuel injectors before installing them. Lubricate the O-rings with a little engine oil.
11Install the new fuel injector. Ensure that the center line of the electrical connector is in sync with the corresponding mark on the intake manifold.
12Reassemble the components by reconnecting and re-bolting any wiring or bolts that were removed prior to the installation of the fuel injectors. Re-attach the air cleaner assembly, fuel rail, and cable for the battery terminal.
Why Is Exhaust Only Coming Out of One Tailpipe
Many cars either come standard with dual exhaust or can have it added on, but exhaust will not always come out of both tailpipes. There are times when that is normal, but it can also mean there is a problem.
Function
Dual tailpipes are used to expel exhaust after it has gone through the muffler and the catalytic converter. A butterfly valve at the base of the dual exhaust pipes directs the exhaust through the two pipes.
Warming up
In some cars, the exhaust is directed only through one exhaust pipe for the first 30 seconds to a minute. It will look as if the exhaust is only coming out of one pipe. Once the car has warmed up, the butterfly valve opens and directs the exhaust through both pipes.
Blockage
The other reason why exhaust would only come out of one pipe would be if the other pipe was blocked. Occasionally, dirt, snow and other material can become impacted into the pipe or the pipe can be bent from an accident and prevent the flow of exhaust through the pipe.
How Do I Hook Up a 2001 F150 Brake Controller
The F150 is Fords full-size 3/4-ton pickup truck, which has been in production since 1975. All versions of the 2001 F150 have an anti-lock braking system, or ABS, as a standard feature. An ABS uses a brake controller, or control module, to determine the braking force that each wheel receives. The brake control module reduces the braking power to a wheel when that wheel moves more slowly than the other wheels. The procedure for installing a brake control module is similar for all F150 trucks made from 2001 to 2006.

Remove the cable from the negative battery terminal with a socket wrench to prevent an electrical discharge during the procedure. Turn the vents in the center instrument panel inward, and hold the panel by the vents. Pull the center instrument panel outward.
2Disconnect the upper cover from the steering column with a socket wrench. Turn off the selector switch for the bi-fuel tank, if your vehicle is so equipped. Remove the screws from the center instrument panel, and detach the electrical connector for the panel. Remove the instrument panel from the vehicle.
3Detach the headlamp switch with a thin pry tool, and disconnect the electrical connectors for the headlamp switch. Unplug the electrical connector for the ABS control module, and remove the bolts from the module with a socket wrench. Detach the ABS control module from the vehicle.
4Install the new ABS control module, and fasten the bolts to the module with a socket wrench. Attach the electrical connector to the ABS control module. Connect the electrical connector for the headlamp switch, and install the switch.
5Mount the center instrument panel to the vehicle, and attach the electrical connector to the panel. Fasten the mounting screws for the center instrument panel with a socket wrench. Turn on the bi-fuel tank selector switch, and install the upper cover for the steering column.
6Connect the cable to the negative battery terminal with a socket wrench.

How to Replace a Window Handle in a 1997 Pontiac Sunfire
The manual windows in a 1997 Pontiac Sunfire use a plastic crank to move the regulator down, lowering the window. With age or due to abuse, the handle can break making it nearly impossible to roll down the window. Unlike some other vehicles, the 1997 Sunfires window handle is not secured by a bolt. The window handle on the Sunfire requires a careful hand to release the clip that secures the handle to the metal crank on the regulator.

Crank the handle until it is facing upward, toward the window. This gives you the room needed to negotiate the tools.
2Insert the window handle tool between the crank and the washer until it meets the small clip holding the handle to the regulator shaft. Press downward on the metal ears on the clip with the tool until the clip is free from the crank. If a tool is unavailable, you can use two small flathead screwdrivers, one on each ear, to remove the clip.
3Pull the Sunfires window handle toward you and off of the door.
4Place the metal clip through the slot on the rear of the new handle, just as it was placed on the new handle.
5Line the rear of the new widow handle up with splined metal shaft protruding from where the old handle was and press the window handle onto the shaft. The shaft has a light taper, so the clip will engage automatically once the window crank is fully seated.
How to Loosen a Bolt
Bolts are threaded fasteners that are used in conjunction with a nut to secure two or more materials. There are two size classes of nuts and bolts: metric and U.S. standard. Metric hardware is now standard in all countries except the United States. New products made in the U.S. will usually use metric hardware, but some older products, especially cars, will use standard sizes. It is important to know whether the bolt and nut are metric or standard, and to use the proper tool, so as not to damage them.

Determine the correct wrench sizes needed for the bolt and nut. The head size of the bolt will usually be larger than that of the nut.
2Place the wrenches or socket on the bolt head and the nut. Hold the bolt head still and turn the nut counter-clockwise.
3Finish removing the nut by hand once it is loose enough. This will reduce the chance of dropping it as it comes free of the bolt post.
How to Install a Corvette C5 Exhaust
General Motors released the first Chevrolet Corvette in 1953. Production of the 1953 Corvette took place in Flint, Michigan, and over the following decades new generations of the Corvette went into production. The fifth generation Corvette was made from 1997 to 2004 and is considered the largest redesign of the sports car since the original, according to Edmunds. Known as the C5, the fifth generation included a brand new all-aluminum third generation LS1 engine, as compared to the V8 included in the fourth generation. C5 owners have an option of installing aftermarket components like exhaust for further performance gains.

Removing Stock Exhaust

Open the hood and disconnect the vehicles battery using your socket set.
2Lift the car off the ground using a floor jack. Refer to the owner manual for the correct floor jack mounting positions. Secure the car off the ground with floor jacks.
3Remove the four bolts mounting the swaybar in place underneath the vehicle. The swaybar is located near the rear of the transmission and runs across the undercarriage horizontally. Place the sway bar and mounting hardware off to the side.
4Unbolt the dual muffler assemblies from the catalytic converter extension pipes at the 2-bolt flanges using a socket set. The flange location is located in between the catalytic converters and mufflers near the rear of the vehicle. The muffler assembly will now hang loosely, still connected to the exhaust hangers and rubber insulators.
5Remove the rubber insulators holding the muffler assembly in place and place off to the side. Lift the muffler off the hangers and remove. Be sure every bolt securing the dual assemblies in place is removed.
Installing New Catback System

Refer to the installation instructions included with your new exhaust system before fitting the new muffler assemblies back into the previously uninstalled rubber insulators. At this point, the muffler assemblies will hang loosely from the rubber insulators and hangers. The new muffler fasteners and clamps should not be tightened until final adjustment.
7Install the drivers side pipe linking the muffler assembly to the 2-bolt flange that connects to the catalytic converter. If a gasket is provided, install it between the new pipe and 2-bolt flange. Reinstall the OEM fasteners removed from the flange previously. Then install the matching passenger side pipe in the same fashion.
8Move the new exhaust components into place, at least a -inch from any body panels, and tighten all newly installed bolts, fasteners and clamps evenly from front to rear. Refer to the installation instructions for all bolt, fastener and clamp locations and torque specifications.
9Reinstall the four swaybar mounting bolts, securing the swaybar in place.
10Reconnect the vehicle battery and turn on the vehicle. Listen for any exhaust leaks, which may sound like hissing anywhere two separate pipes mate together.
