The Brake Lights Wont Go Off in My 1993 Nissan Quest
A brake light switch, located on a bracket mounted directly in front of the brake pedal arm, controls your 1993 Nissan Quests brake lights. As the pedal arm pushes forward from the force of you stepping on the brakes, it depresses the switch and activates the brake lights. When the switch short circuits, it will either leave the lights always on or always off. In order to get the lights off, and return them to normal functionality, youll need to replace the faulty brake light switch. If you have mechanical aptitude and 25 minutes of time on your hands, you can fix this problem.

Open the Quests front door. Adjust the drivers seat as far back as it will go in order to provide yourself with sufficient room to access the under-dash area.
2Shine the work light in the drivers foot well so it illuminates the area at the top of the brake pedal arm. Retract the retaining tab on the brake light wiring pigtail with your thumb while gripping the pigtail with your foinger. Pull the pigtail off the brake light switch.
3Unbolt the faulty brake light switch from the mounting bracket using a box wrench. Discard the faulty brake light switch.
4Set the new brake light switch into the bracket. Bolt it in with the box wrench. Plug the wiring pigtail into the new brake light switch by hand.
5Depress the brake pedal and have your helper verify the brake lights work before driving your Nissan Quest.

How to Turn Off the Engine Light on a Jeep Liberty
When the check engine light illuminates on your Jeep Liberty, it is the result of a problem code being sent from a sensor in the vehicle to the internal On-Board Diagnostics (OBD) computer. It means there is an electrical problem. You should have it looked at and fixed by a qualified mechanic before attempting to reset and turn off the light yourself. Once the problem is fixed, it will be very easy for you to manually reset the light and turn it off.
Instructions

Find the Diagnostic Link Connector, or DLC, to the right of and underneath the steering column. Plug the scanner into the port and put the key into the ignition. Turn the key to the accessory position.
2Plug the pocket scanner into the DLC and then turn the ignition key to the accessory position. Turn on the pocket scanner.
3Select "Erase" on the scanner to turn off the check engine light. You will know it worked when you see "Command Sent" or when the screen on the scanner is back to the main menu.
4Turn the key to start the engine. The check engine light should now be off. If not, you will need to have the engine looked at again.

How to Clean an Oil Stain off of a Ceramic Header
Any type of header -- ceramic or metal -- is vulnerable to coming into contain with oil and grease. The longer you have the header, the more your chances of staining it with oil rise. If an oil stain occurs on your ceramic header, take caution to use the appropriate products to remove the stain. Some stain removers are intended only for metal and will strip away the ceramic on the header, thereby making the whole thing look more unsightly.

Scrub the ceramic header with steel wool. Do not apply too much pressure, but rather perform a light scrubbing. Steel wool is often used as a product that takes oil and grease stains off of cookware and other forms of hardware, such as tools. As such, the steel wool will work effectively on ceramic headers for cleaning off the oil stain. It will not, however, remove the stain completely and make the header look like new again, but the stain will not be as visible and obvious.
2Pour some degreaser onto a clean and dry rag. Rub the rag over the ceramic header after you have used the steel wool on it to get the majority of the stain out. The degreaser will pick up traces of the oil stain to make the area on the header look more even.
3Apply a special ceramic polish to another clean and dry rag. Coat the stained area of the ceramic header with the polish. A ceramic polish is safe to use on ceramic headers and will bring out the natural color of the ceramic, as well as restore the ceramics shine.

Why Do Cars Shut Off Due to Air Intake Temp Sensors
Hot air is not as dense as cold air and therefore requires less fuel to balance an engines air/fuel ratio. The intake air temperature sensor keeps track of the temperature of the air going into an engine. This vital info is then used by an engines computer (PCM), which allows it to keep air/fuel mixture in balance.
Process
An intake air temperature sensor is normally positioned in the intake manifold so that its tip can meet the air going into the engine. The PCM sends around 5 volts to the sensor and waits for a voltage signal response. Air intake sensors have certain resistance reactions to different air temperatures, and this resistance will determine the voltage reading thats sent back to the PCM.
Problems
Faulty air intake temperature sensors can provide incorrect readings to a vehicles PCM. This can cause the PCM to mistake warm air for cold air, which will result in incorrect air/fuel mixture. This in turn leads to idling problems, which can cause a car to shut off, especially in cold weather. Other driving problems include trouble accelerating as well as engine surging.
Reasons
There are several reasons why an air intake temperature sensor can fail, such as bad electrical connections, which lead to incorrect sensor output. Oil from the intake manifold can also coat and contaminate the sensor, limiting its ability to properly monitor air temperature.
